19.06.17 – Watertight Marketing, the creators of the MD’s essential marketing training programme, announced winners in three categories of their brand new annual awards. The awards were presented by the founder and creator of the powerful Watertight Marketing methodology, Bryony Thomas, at a ceremony in Bristol last week.
Karen Meager, co-founder of Monkey Puzzle Training & Consultancy, was named the ‘Watertight Marketing Business Owner of The Year’ following her success on the flagship Marketing Masterplan training programme for business owners. Portishead-based strategic marketing mentor, Ros Conkie, was Karen’s Accountability Partner through the programme, she commented: “Seeing Karen receive the award last night was just recognition for the way in which Karen has taken the Watertight Marketing methodology and applied it end-to-end through her business. I was honoured to check in each month to see Karen’s confidence and the impact she was making with each new applied learning.”
In accepting her award Karen added: “The Marketing Masterplan programme has given me the structure that I needed as a busy business owner to work systematically and confidently through a series of investments, in time and money, that I know will pay us back for years to come. I loved taking the whole team on the journey with me, and we’re all seeing the benefits of having such a clear language to discuss and decide on what marketing we do.”
Sara Parker, Marketing Manager at Face For Business, was named as the ‘Masterplanner of the Year’. This is the award for marketing professionals undertaking the programme on behalf of their organisation. Sara was the internal lead on the Marketing Masterplan programme for her business. Jane Cuthertson, Edinburgh-based marketing consultant, partnered Sara through the programme, she commented: “I am massively proud in what Sara has achieved in such a short time. She is someone I’d happily and confidently work with on any marketing project. I wholeheartedly agree and admire the decision to choose Sara as the winner of this award.”
In receiving the award, Sara commented: “I’ve loved the Masterplan programme. I’ve felt my confidence grow month by month. I’m just so happy to have found the Watertight Marketing methodology and community, and this award is the icing on the cake. I am beyond thrilled!”
The final award of the evening was presented to Hampshire-based marketing strategist, Kara Stanford, who was named ‘Watertight Marketing Certified Practitioner of the Year’. This award recognises the strategic marketing consultant within the Watertight Marketing Expert Community who has most embodied the shared values in the preceding year. In announcing the award, creator and founder of Watertight Marketing, Bryony Thomas, commented: “One of the main reasons Kara stood out for me amongst a community of true experts, was the way that she has consciously designed a business and network that fits with personal definition of success. There’s a lot that many entrepreneurs could learn from Kara about how to find purpose and contentment in their work, not least what she knows about marketing!
In accepting her award, Kara commented: “I’m blown away by winning this. The community of experts that Watertight Marketing has brought together is made up of such inspiring and talented individuals, to be selected from amongst a group of such people is really such an honour.”
